In Progress

So, this is a page for all of the quilts I am working on.... yah. The list is LONG. So, without any further ado, my to do list!

1-13) Pa Dick Quilts - These are a collection of SEVEN mass produced quilts and three wall hangings made from the clothes of my grandfather who passed at the end of April, 2013. My original goal was to get these finished before the 1 year anniversary, but that didn't end up happening. Here's to hoping they get done soon. *Edit: This has morphed into eight quilts, three wall hangings and two table runners, with a bunch of other stuff to come from the scraps that I haven't come up with yet. Translation: A lot of work.

14 & 15) Project of Doom (x2) - I am wanting to make this for my best friend and a copy for me. This started out a long time ago, but I just have back burnered it and back burnered it. I plan on taking Jennifer O's wonderful pattern and adding a lot of my own personality and lots of fun additions to it, which is part of the reason that it is going to take me so long. *Update: This year (2015), Fandom in Stitches is bringing back the Project of Doom for their quilt along. I'm super excited, because that means I can keep working on this and maybe knock it out!

16) Doctor Who Stitch Along - So, I love Doctor Who and when I saw this, I thought I would dive into embroidery. Yep, I'm crazy. I actually have quite a few of the embroidery pieces done and my plan for how I am going to put it all together. Now I just have to get finished with it!

17) Doctor Who Quilt Along - And I repeat, I love Doctor Who. I'm all of one block into this quilt (shown here), but I'm excited. The final quilt as the creator designed it is shown here, in case you want to see what I am shooting for. :-)

18) Blue String Quilt - so this is me taking and chopping up quite a bit of my teal and blue fabric a while ago wanting to make a string quilt. I'm still working on it. Slowly, but surely, I will get there. I actually have quite a bit of it done, I just need to finish a few blocks and start assembling it. Update: I have the top assembled, backing assembled, and am just waiting to baste it! I love how it looks right now.

19) Sparkle Punch Quilt - So I saw this pattern in a magazine at my grandmother's house and fell in love. I am actually going to try to make the stars a little more scattered and spaced differently, but I am excited. I am using all of my blue and yellow batiks for this, or at least, all of the fabric I had in those colors when I started cutting a while ago. Right now, this is all cut and ready to go, just no time to do it. :-)

20) Aiming for Accuracy Quilt - I really love Mishka's QALs that she puts on, and this one I actually started with them! I didn't get around to finishing it yet, but I'm super excited about it. I'm doing it in deep chocolate as my background and my reds, purples, oranges, and pinks batiks.

21) Allen Tee Shirt Quilt - So while I was in Texas, I worked at a private school. We had a lot of extra shirts laying around that didn't sell, so I adopted them and am in the process of creating a tee shirt quilt out of them with yellow flannel as the inside of it. It's going to be a simple rag style quilt. I'm almost done with it, just having to finish up stitching a couple of blocks together then assembling. Once that's done, it's on the way back to Texas.

22) Mercy Project Tee Shirt Quilt - In a similar vein of the Allen shirt, I have been working on a shirt for the non profit I went to Ghana with to create a shirt out of their old shirts that didn't sell from their children's run. I'm doing a teal flannel inside, but this one is not nearly as close to being finished as the Allen shirt quilt is.

23) Royal Squares 2.5" Quilt - I came across this pattern and decided to make it out of postage stamp squares that I swapped with others along the way. I also enlarged it quite a bit so it will fit on my (at the time) queen sized bed. I was doing a quilt as you go with this, which means I have A LOT of hand stitching to do on the back once I have everything assembled. Currently, all the squares are done, but not all of the quilting or assembling is done.

24) One Hundred Patch Quilt - I think I am crazy for taking this on, just maybe. I really like it though, so I think I will stick it out, though I haven't pulled it out of the box for a while. It takes a lot of work to get everything even moderately straight, so this one is a test of my patience. I have two (I think) squares finished for this and a lot more to go.

25) Two Inch Quilt - So, this is a design of my own making, using, you guessed it, 2 inch squares. I'm seriously crazy. I started this, along with my other postage stamp quilts, a long time ago. Now I just need to get them finished. I have everything cut, but not much of anything assembled yet.

26) Wonky Nine-Patch Quilt - I decided to start this with some of my random layer cake sized squares that I cut out of a bunch of my fabric in an attempt to corral my fabric (it never happens though). I am using cooler colors than in the example, but I think it will turn out cool. I'm about two thirds of the way through the stack and whack squares and I have my solid picked out too, just needing to get it finished. :-)

27) Starlight Star Bright Quilt - So I came across this quilt a while ago and I love the pattern. I also love how you get to modify all of the different sizes. I have purchased fabric for this one. I'm going to do a 3 x 3 queen sized quilt out of red, navy, and plum fabrics and use a while background and a dark red polka dot binding. I really do like using polka dots and stripes as bindings.

28) Star Surround Quilt - I really like all of these quilts that Melissa has put together, as mentioned above, due to the modifications you can do with them. These just might become one of my staple quilts. Who knows? I first have to get them made, right? This one I am going to do in greens, with a white background, and a plum polka dot binding. I know, sucker for the polka dots. I was going to do it in a matching green polka dot, but I figured the plum was just really fun and cool. I have the fabric for this, besides the background, so I just need to get started.

29) Starburst Quilt - So, this is one that I still need to decide on if I am going to be making out of stash fabric or if I want to get some of the same fabric that I got for my other two quilts from Melissa. Don't know yet. I'm leaning toward doing something with my batiks and then a black background. I'm not sure yet, but that's what I am leaning toward right now.

30) Ghana Quilt - I traveled to Ghana a few years ago and brought back a bunch of fabric. I have had wonderful plans to make something with these fabrics, but I just haven't gotten around to it. I think the biggest thing for me is the fact that all of the fabrics I brought back are really bright and busy. I don't want to lose the beauty of the fabric and the styles that it was printed in, but I also don't know exactly how to move forward.

31) Natural Wonders of Tillamook County Quilt - I came across this pattern when I was out on a shop hop with my grandmother. I fell in love and then she got me fabric and the pattern for Christmas that year. Needless to say, awesome gift. Now I just need to sit down and work on doing the embroidery. I have it already planned how I want to sash it and how I want to back it. I just need to do the embroidery.

32) 2.5" triangle quilt - I have seen some amazing quilts that have these wonderful scrappy layouts and make all of these cool concentric squares out of scrap fabric. So I'm setting out to do so with my 2.5" squares. I think it is going to end up being extremely detailed, but I think it will also be very cool when I get it finished.

33) circle quilt

34) black batik braid quilt - My best friend gave me a wonderful set of black backgrounded batik fabrics in jelly roll form. I have always loved the braid patterns, so this jelly roll is destined for one of those.

35-36) blue and pink kids quilts - These are for a friend's ministry that rescues children from slavery in Ghana. Every rescue they do, they give the children their own quilt s they have something of their own. I am working on making two quilts to send to that program.

37?) tee shirt quilts - I have lots of bits and pieces of shirts I have cut up for making into a quilt or quilts, but I just need to sit down and do lots of ironing onto stabilizer to start with. Then we shall see how many quilts come out of the scraps I have. I can't wait to see though. It's going to be awesome.

38) halloween striped hexie quilt - I love halloween, so I make a lot of halloween quilts. This one is one I'm trying to pull together, using a collection of fabrics and make concentric hexagons. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I can't wait for it to work itself out.

39) halloween brick quilt

40) Stacked Squares Quilt

41) Surprise quilt

42) Flannel collection quilt - I have quite a few awesome prints of flannel, but I'm still undecided on the design. I might use an apple core pattern for this.

43) Bandana quilt

I know I have  more than this planned, started, etc around my house, but these are the ones that  are currently remembered. Check back for updates!
